Description
On 11 July 2022 after a few months, ok years, of persistence Barbara and Paul Hetherington kindly agreed to let us have one of their truly outstanding boys and we added the phenomenal Beck Brow No Jacket Required (Ninja – get it? NJR…) and we’re delighted.
Ninja is the 2022 National male fawn Champion and a 7 times/septuple champion in the show ring. He is a spectacular alpaca.
Standing on a conformationally solid and correct frame he has good strength of bone with a true to type head. His fleece is abundant, fine, dense, well organised and has a fantastic handle. Packed with some fantastic genetics he is amazing in what you see and what he’s inherited from his ancestors.
Genetics – His pedigree has some outstanding names and success. His dam, Beck Brow Tutu, is a double brown champion. His sire Gilt Edge Samurai of Beck Brow (import) was shown once won fawn male champion and Supreme Champion. Other names include Timbertop CT Goldmine ET of Beck Brow (Imp) and Patagonia Celtic Triumph (Aust.).
Fleece – Quite wonderful with highly desirable characteristics for our breeding programme, the show ring and our knitwear!
Personality – During the time with us he has certainly become more confident and knows his position is high up the pecking order! He is wonderful to handle, a credit to Paul and Barbara’s hard work.
Colour – Solid dark fawn. He is colour tested as EE Aa – so he is unlikely to lighten a female. Put to a black female has a 50/50 chance of producing a black.
Progeny – Beck Brow have 8 cria due from him in 2022. We are expecting up to 10 with 7 dams scanned pregnant. We have put him over white and fawn dams.
