Description
EPC Gunsmith, was originally selected and imported following his success at the Australian National Show 2014. Gunsmith is sired by the noted Wyterrica Propaganda who is in turn sired by the famous Blue Grass Waterloo Sunset. Gunsmith has a mid steel grey fleece which displays good density, character and style, and a very good degree of fineness and uniformity of micron. Gunsmith first progeny were born in 2016 and his UK importers, Beck Brow Alpacas and their co-owners Velvet Hall Alpacas were delighted with their quality.
Gunsmith’s first progeny entered the show ring in 2017:
Champion and Reserve Champion in both grey male and grey female categories were awarded to Gunsmith’s progeny at NWAG Alpaca Championships 2017.

Gunsmith’s progeny in 2018:
Champion Grey Male (Velvet Hall Storm Surge) at the BAS NATIONAL 2018 and was the only junior in the line up for Supreme!
At the BAS National 2019, Gunsmith’s crias again were dominant in the grey classes. Talla took Reserve Champion Grey Female and Storm Surge took Champion Grey Male for the second year running!
At the NWAG 2019 the same two Gunsmith cria took Champion Grey Female and Champion Grey Male.
Storm Surge and Talla then went on to win Champion Grey male and female respectively at the Scottish and Northumberland Shows!
Our first Gunsmith cria were born in 2019. We had hoped to take at least one to the 2020 BAS National – but COVID intervened. However, we entered Springfarm Wizard’s fleece to the Eastern Alpaca Group Fleece Show 2020 instead – and his fleece was awarded first place in the highly competitive junior grey huacaya fleece class! In 2021, Wizard took 1st at the South of England, Champion Grey Huacaya. At the HoE Fleece Show he took 1st Intermediate Fleece and Champion Grey. In 2022 at the National Fleece Show, he took 2nd place and Reserve Champion. SoE Show 2022 he took 1st place grey male in the adult class. At the HoE Fleece Show he took 2nd place.
Gunsmith’s cria have continued to impress and we are expecting 5 more in 2025.We are only releasing him as we are conscious of our grey genetic pool and he deserves to continue his superb breeding work.
Of his 73 registered with BAS crias, 31 are grey and 24 are black.
