Meet Poppy, a calm and gentle 14-year-old dark fawn female alpaca. This lovely girl has a long history of producing exceptional cria, some of the finest in our herd.
Poppy has a strong personality and tends to make you work around her when cleaning the shelters – a true matriarch!
While Poppy is entering her well-deserved retirement, she was recently bred with our stud Hastings, and we are hopeful for a possible late-season cria. Regardless, her primary focus now is enjoying a peaceful life.
Poppy is not formally halter trained but remains calm when haltered and is generally easy to handle during routine husbandry tasks.
