Description
Reserve Champ Cold Comfort Roman represents a dream combination of Bozedown and Fowberry genetics. His sire, Fowberry Nobility, is the unbeaten fawn champion with an impressive list of show-winning progeny including a BAS National Supreme Champion. Glimpse, his dam, is a product of Bozedown Peruvian genetics. Roman is half-brother to Cold Comfort Atticus (Supreme Champion - HoE Fleece Show), Cold Comfort Jasper (Champion White Male – HoE Halter Show) and Cold Comfort Celeste (Res Champion SoE Halter Show).
Roman’s fleece stats speak for themselves but I would add to this an incredibly soft ‘handle’, brightness and fleece structure from skin to tip, as well as high density so characteristic of Nobility’s progeny. His fleece is very fine (as the fleece test results confirm) but it is particularly his uniformity at 3.1 & 3.0 in year's 1 & 2 which impressed us and the judges.
Roman is an incredibly friendly alpaca, curious and can be quite cheeky at times. He is very bright and holds his position well in our herd of strong alpaca studs. He is making his debut at Cold Comfort this year and we hope a new breeder can put him to good use elsewhere.
