Description
The Duke of Ellington is a very rare suri alpaca stud male. His Sire and Grand Sire are Sirius Black and MacGyver.
Sirius Black is considered one of the top suri herd sires in the USA and the only black suri to win a National Championship 2 years consecutively. He is a full Peruvian Macgyver son and described by so many who have seen him as "the most incredible black suri I have seen", true ink black, dense, lustrous and with locks completely independent at the skin. The Duke's Grand Dam, Peruvian Starlette, has produced 7 champion offspring including Sirius's full siblings, Celestina, Synergy, and Macgyverson. The Duke's grandsire, Macgyver has won 'Herd Sire Of The Year' 7 years in a row.
We imported The Duke alongside our partners in Suri Stud - West Wight Alpacas - in 2013. He is jointly owned via our joint venture - Suri Stud - but please feel free to contact either us or West Wight Alpacas for details. The Duke is standing here at Spring Farm Alpacas in East Sussex.
