Description
Willowbrook Gold Nugget is an intact, well proportioned mid fawn male huacaya sired by the impressive stud male Kurrawa Legends Bandido. He is a mischievous character, and full of personality, with the most beautiful head type.
Golden Nugget is being offered for sale as a non-breeding male, but has a fantastically soft, long, bright, and very fine fleece that would be ideal for those interested in utilising his annual clip for spinning, knitting or felting. He was shown twice as an intermediate, and was awarded third place on both occasions in very competitive classes. Together with his lovely fleece, he also has impressive breeding, but crucially for a companion animal, he has a lovely temperament and will walk happily on a halter.
Given a little time and patience, an alpaca will voluntarily eat from your hand once they have established trust and confidence. However, they do possess strong herd social instincts and so should be kept in a group of preferably at least three or more for their own well-being. They are increasingly being used as flock guardians for sheep or chickens as they have an inherent dislike for foxes!
If possible, we would like to sell Gold Nugget with his field companions, Touchdown, who is solid light brown, and Atomic, who is solid white. A discount package is available with the purchase of all three high quality males (please refer to the other listings from Willowbrook Alpacas).
