Top Brass was selected and imported by Liz Barlow, the well respected UK and International judge, of Livanti Alpacas. He was the product of an 'Embryo Transfer' procedure, utilising the best available stud and dam from the Warralinga Gorge herd in Australia. He was shown twice in 2007, and on both occaisions was awarded The Junior Reserve Champion sash.
His first cria were on the ground in 2010, all of which showed a considerable improvement in fleece quality over their dam's. They have mostly been fawns, but have included whites, browns and blacks.
His fleece exhibits considerable density, combined with superior crimp and brightness, and these qualities have been carried forward into all his cria.
One of his cria was awarded First Place Junior Fawn Male at the 2012 Britsh Alpaca Futurity.
